| The Glass House |

Ahead in Jenny's blog; Jenny rants about The Glass House and says crap a bunch of times!
Joining Wil, Corinne and Dave to throw some stones in The Glass House next week will be... nobody. Because The Glass House has been cancelled, and it's final show was shown last night.
I cannot express how disappointed and depressed I am at the moment. The last time I felt this depressed over the telly was... when Kate died. They sure seem to like to kick me around this time every year. No, even I have no idea who "they" are. I'm not making sense to myself either.
It's not just that it was a good show. Nor is it the fact that it was a good Australian show (that never happens. Australia CAN NOT make good TV and we've had fifty years to "give it a go"). And it wasn't because I've been watching it since the beginning. It was more the fact that every single week since 2002 The Glass House has been; fresh, funny, and original. It's gotten me through some of the crapest days of my life (and I have some crappola days). Most importantly The Glass House has been the only show that every week made me laugh until my sides hurt and tears are streaming down my face.
Which happened last night. Except unlike every other week they were tears of sadness. I actually thought I was going okay; it was the end of the show and I wasn't crying... And then Corinne starts, which of course, sets me off! StupidTeenageAngstCrap!
And now I feel guilty. Why? Because what American TV show was on at the same time this year? The same TV show that I swore I would not watch the third season of? Whose episodes I watched INSTEAD of The Glass House? Which are now being repeated and will be repeated a thousand more times, where as those eps of The Glass House will NEVER be repeated?
But like Wil said, Jesus was watching NCIS too.
(I'll explain. A while ago in an episode of The Glass House some really bad jokes were made about Jesus, and, well, religion in general, and the audience reacted appropriately, and Wil (in response) goes something along the lines; "Oh, come now, it's not like he's (Jesus) watching. He's a NCIS fan!" and I FELL off my chair.)
(Oh, and I don’t mean to be offensive. I’ve grown up in a Christian home. Went to a Christian school for twelve and a half years. Attend a Christian church. Suffer through a Christian Bible Study the first, third, and fifth Wednesday of every month. I consider myself… Christian…ish.)
So, goodbye, Glass House, you were always too good for Australian TV.
*sigh*
And now I’m going to go cry myself to sleep… |

So...
I love Crossing Jordan! And NCIS is coming to Foxtel! And I think my Foxtel's just broke... so whatever. NCIS is going to be on TV1. Which is where JAG is! It's good because TV1 will treat NCIS with respect unlike certain channels that sound like "pen".
I've been thinking about where it'll sit in the line up... JAG's getting to the end of what TV1 have... so maybe it'll be NCIS instead of JAG.
*sigh*
That would suck. I want un-season 9/10/1 JAG to watch! Some classic JAG... Maybe the one with the person the plays Nigel in Crossing Jordan?
Besides I have NCIS on DVD. |
